SCHOLARSHIP

While the ETHIE recognizes the ethical cultures of Rochester area businesses, RABEF also awards scholarships to local high school and college undergraduate students majoring in business.

RABEF scholarships recognize students who exhibit high ethical standards, and also promotes the value of business ethics to a future generation of business leaders. Each December, RABEF participates in ROC the Day to help support its Scholarship Program. If you are considering a donation, know that RABEF Scholarships are well deserved financial support for the future of ethical business practices in the Rochester area and beyond.

We honor five students annually:

The Martin F. Palumbos Rochester Area Business Ethics Foundation Scholarship is given to a student chosen by St. John Fisher College.

The Rochester Area Business Ethics Foundation Scholarship is given to students chosen by the Saunders Business School at Rochester Institute of Technology, SUNY College at Brockport and Nazareth College.

The Junior Achievement Rochester Area Business Ethics Foundation Scholarship is given to a local high school student who has successfully completed the JA ethics course during the current academic year.

All eligible and interested students are nominated for the scholarships by our academic partners at RIT, St. John Fisher College, and Junior Achievement of Rochester. Each nominated student submits an essay on business ethics. Scholarship recipients are recognized at our Annual ETHIE Award Luncheon in September.

Since 2007, RABEF has honored students at these local colleges and high schools:

  • St. John Fisher College
  • Rochester Institute of Technology
  • Pittsford Mendon High School
  • East High School (Rochester City School District)
  • The Aquinas Institute of Rochester
  • Brighton High School
  • The Edison School of Business (Rochester City School District)

“As we grow, it is the hope of Rochester Area Business Ethics Foundation to award a scholarship to students at all of the business schools in the Rochester area,” said RABEF president Alan Ziegler.

Scholarships for high school students are made possible through a partnership with Junior Achievement of Rochester. For more about JA of Rochester, please visit www.rochesterny.ja.org
